A delegation from the Iraqi Producers Association, headed by Eng. Ammar Rahim Abdullah Al-Saedi, President of the Association, and Vice President Mr. Dler Ezz El-Din, along with representatives from Kar Company and Delta Company, participated in the Cemtech International Conference and Exhibition, held at the InterContinental Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from February 1–4, 2026.
The conference was inaugurated by H.E. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and brought together leading local and international companies, as well as a wide range of experts and specialists in the cement industry.
The Association’s participation aimed to strengthen its regional and international presence, showcase the latest global advancements in cement technology, and present its future vision and development plans in line with the latest global trends in the sector.
The President of the Association emphasized that this participation represents an important opportunity to exchange expertise, build new strategic partnerships, and explore modern innovations and technologies that contribute to the sustainable growth of this vital industry.
On the sidelines of the conference, the President of the Association provided a brief overview to H.E. the Minister on the status and growth of the cement industry in Iraq over recent years. The delegation also held several important meetings, including a meeting with A3&Co to discuss the preparation of a Decarbonization Roadmap, a meeting with KHD regarding a university students training plan, and a meeting with Sinoma Overseas to discuss its projects in Iraq.
The delegation also visited exhibition booths of companies specialized in cement packaging bags, particularly jumbo bags, and also conducted a visit to Yamama Cement Factory.
